Personal
I have lived in the Amherst area for 40+ years, having moved here from Michigan in 1963 to own and operate a local bookshop. I have two grown children, Abby and Tom and one grandchild, Cody. I have a B.A. and M.A. in History from Western Michigan University.

I have been a licensed Realtor for over 25 years and am a Certified Resident Specialist (CRS), an Accredited Buyer's Representative (ABR) and hold a certificate from the Graduate Realtor's Institute (GRI).

Mr. D.H. Jones, founder of the Jones Realty Group, asked me to come work for him in 1979. The Jones Realty Group has offices in Amherst, Northampton and Belchertown, over 65 agents and is the largest independently owned Real Estate company in Western Massachusetts. I accepted Mr. Jones' offer and have never looked back. Real estate was right for me. I have used my knowledge of the greater Amherst community, my interest in the area's history, my genuine delight in meeting new people, and the expertise of the Jones Realty Group to help me benefit many, many buyers and sellers over the years. I have accumulated many real estate sales awards for consistently being a top producer and for outstanding quality service and client satisfaction.

I am actively involved with the community on various levels. I have a deep interest in the arts, especially theater, where I have performed with various theater groups in the greater Pioneer Valley for 30+ years. I am a member and past president of the Amherst Club, a community service club consisting of area residents and business people whose mission is fundraising to benefit local charities. I have previously been a member of the Board of Friends of Fine Arts at the University of Massachusetts/Amherst. I have also been actively involved in volunteering for the American Cancer Society.

I pride myself on keeping pace with the many recent developments in our profession which is an ongoing challenge. The bottom line for me, however, is to put client service first so as to have completely satisfied buyers and sellers.
